The Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM is a budget-friendly RF-mount lens that combines wide-angle versatility with macro specialization. Key features include:

Canon RF Mount. The Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM belongs to Canon’s line of RF-mount lenses. It’s compatible with RF cameras, such as the EOS R. It does not work with Canon EF-mount cameras.
Versatile 1:2 Macro. This unique lens’s combination of wide-angle versatility, 1:2 macro magnification, and a 6.7-inch minimum focusing distance make it great for a range of applications including landscapes, street and macro photography. Its bright f/1.8 aperture and rounded nine-blade diaphragm give you great low-light shooting capability and shallow depth of field.
Advanced Optics. This lens’s nine-group/eleven-element optical formula includes one aspherical element that minimizes chromatic aberrations and color fringing while providing high clarity, color fidelity, and sharpness. Canon has applied a Super Spectra coating to the lens elements to further combat ghosting and flaring, even in harsh lighting.
Built-In Autofocus. This lens uses a ring-type Stepping Motor to provide fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance for both still and video shooters. You also get full-time manual-focus override for precision adjustments.
Optical Image Stabilization. The RF 35mm f/1.8’s built-in image stabilizer compensates for five stops of camera shake, so that you can shoot in lower light at slower shutter speeds without worry.
Configurable Control Ring. This RF mount lens features an integrated, configurable control ring that you can use to adjust a range of exposure settings, including ISO, aperture, and exposure compensation.
