Featuring dual-camera action, this PTZ is equipped with a primary camera with a large 4/3" 20.89MP image sensor, and a secondary 100° panoramic camera with a 1/1.8" Sony CMOS sensor.

Next-Gen AI. No camera operator? No problem! This PTZ solution offers an AI tracking engine designed to follow your subject with smooth, human-like camera motions. You have complete control over speed, style, and sensitivity, which can be maintained through the NDI PTZ Control App for iOS and Android, or with the separately available BirdDog KBD PTZ Controller with Integrated Screen.

The XL Ultra delivers dual 4K60 simultaneous outputs through any two of its many connection ports, which include 12G- and 3G-SDI BNC connectors, HDMI, high-bandwidth NDI with SpeedHQ, and SFP+ with 12G-SDI and standard SFP. Q & A

Does the XL Ultra support H.265 internal recording?

The XL Ultra supports H.265/HEVC encoding for network streaming and transport protocols such as NDI|HX3, RTSP, and RTMP. However, as of firmware version 6.2.38 internal microSD recording is limited to H.264.

Are the cameras capable of simultaneous Full NDI output?

Yes, but no. Both of the integrated cameras can output NDI High Bandwidth (Full NDI), but not simultaneously. In addition to this, the XL Ultra cannot stream Full NDI directly from the camera, and will require a software like OBS or vMix to stream the NDI High Bandwidth signal.
For simultaneous output from both cameras, this camera also supports NDI|HX/HX3 streaming and HDMI/SDI output!

Are there really two cameras in the XL Ultra?

Believe it or not, yes! Basically, there’s the main PTZ camera with a 4/3" CMOS sensor, and a secondary built-in stationary 100° panoramic camera with a 1/1.8″ sensor. Both cameras shoot in 4K60, are independently controllable, and can output at the same time.
