The BirdDog PTZ Keyboard gives users exposure & movement control of up to 255 networked PTZ cameras & is compatible with NDI, NDI|HX, Visca over IP, RS-422, and RS-232 protocols. Key features include:

Control exposure, white balance, backlight, gain, shutter, focus, iris, shutter speed, & zoom
Control up to 255 network attached PTZ cameras
Joystick for camera movement & rocker switch for zoom control
Supports up to 256 memory presets with fully customizable parameters and camera moves

Tactile PTZ Control. The BirdDog PTZ Keyboard is a solution for moving PTZ camera control off of a screen and into your hands. You’ll get finer control and a faster workflow with a joystick and zoom rocker switch. The keyboard also has dedicated exposure, white balance, and focus knobs.

NDI & Much More. This BirdDog controller is compatible with cameras using NDI, NDI|HX, Visca over IP, RS-422, and RS-232 protocols. When using NDI, users can take advantage of audio intercom support using BirdDog Comms.

Power. This keyboard can be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), the serial port, or with the included AC adapter.

Does this rental include ethernet cables or a network switch?

This rental doesn’t include ethernet cables or a network switch, but they’re available as separate rental items.

Does the keyboard support cross protocol mix-control?

Yes, but most scenarios require additional accessory cables that we don’t currently offer. If you need these for a shoot, please contact us.

Does this rental include the PTZ junction box or tally light terminal?

This rental doesn’t include the PTZ junction box or tally light terminal by default. If you’d like them, please request them in the Special Instructions box during checkout.

Do you rent an NDI switcher?

Yes! We recommend the NewTek TriCaster Mini Advanced HD-4 SDI Switcher Bundle that can control up to 8 networked NDI devices. The Livestream Studio HD550 4K Live Production Switcher will also control NDI cameras, but the implementation is less robust.
