It is compatible with full-frame Nikon Z-mount cameras. On crop-frame sensor sensors, it will provide an equivalent (approximate) 52-150mm range, which is good for portrait work.

Di III refers to Tamron’s third generation of Digitally Integrated Design lenses that have been engineered specifically for mirrorless, interchangeable-lens cameras with no internal mirror box or pentaprism.
