VC Image Stabilization. Tamron’s proprietary Vibration Compensation (VC) image-stabilization system helps to offset the effects of camera shake when you’re shooting hand-held or in low light.

Fast, Accurate, and Nearly Silent Autofocus. The lens is equipped with Tamron’s Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive (RXD) autofocus drive system, which delivers impressively quiet, quick, and smooth focusing performance to suit both stills and video applications. There’s a 7.5-inch minimum focusing distance and a 1:4.8 maximum magnification for working with close-up subjects.
