Image Quality On A Budget. The SmallHD INDIE 7 Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor’s 1000 cd/m² display is daylight viewable while keeping black levels black. The 10-bit touchscreen panel uses IPS LCD tech for great color reproduction and contrast with full coverage of the Rec709 colorspace.

HDMI & SDI Inputs & Outputs. The Indie 7 supports both HDMI and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs with cross-convertion between them. 3G-SDI format support maxes out at 1080/120i and 1080/60p in 10-Bit 4:2:2. HDMI format support maxes out at 1080/60p in 16-bit 4:4:4 color. Audio is transferred through both 3G-SDI and HDMI, with a 1/8-inch stereo out to monitor audio via headphones (not included). With the attached RX module, the included HDMI adapter uses the monitor’s HDMI input.

Feature-Rich PageOS 4 Toolset. Expanded options include the output of 3D LUT previews to downstream devices, image capture, overlays, custom scaling, anamorphic desqueeze, peaking, false color, Waveform, Zebras, RGB parade, histogram, and on-screen audio meters. An SD card slot lets you add custom LUTs, and save and share settings to other monitors. Please note that this rental doesn’t include an SD card.

Power Options. This SmallHD Cine 7 monitor includes a dual Sony L-series (NP-F) style battery plate. The monitor also features a threaded barrel connector for AC power. On the module, a V-Mount battery plate is included to add external power to your device. There isn’t a V-Mount battery included in this kit, but you can find several options here.

Module Talk. The Bolt 6 LT 750 RX Module transmits UHD 4K30 video on the newly available 6 GHz wireless frequency band to up to six Bolt 4K or Bolt 6 series receivers. Built-in AES-256 encryption and RSA 1024 key pairing protects your video from prying eyes, while noise rejection keeps your video clean no matter how many devices are using the wireless spectrum.
