With a 1/1.28-inch dual sensor system, supersampling from 11K to 8K, AI noise reduction, and a lightning-fast triple AI chip system, the Insta360 X5 offers smoother, sharper footage over its prior models. Battery capacity has been improved for up to 185 minutes in 5.7K and 88 minutes in 8K, allowing you to stay out longer capturing the action.
8K 360° Video, 4K Single-Lens Mode. Dual 360° lenses on the X5 capture up to 8K video and 72MP photos with ease. Switch to single-lens shooting and record 4K video at up to 60 fps. For extremely wide-angle 170° shots, turn on MaxView mode with 4K30p resolution.
Ultrasmooth, Stabilized Footage. The X5 ensures your footage remains stabilized thanks to its 6-axis gyroscope and FlowState Stabilization technology. With Horizon Lock, your footage will come out steady and balanced no matter how the camera is mounted.
Intelligent Features. When used on an Invisible Selfie Stick (not included), the stick disappears in post so that you can get third-person perspectives without anyone else’s help! A new intelligent audio mode clarifies voices without having to use external mics and Multi-Cam Setup mode captures every possible angle at once so that you can choose the best angles using the AI-powered reframing tool in the Insta360 app. Want to keep it simple and instantly share your videos? Go with Fixed View for flat video without sacrificing 360 coverage – the camera will automatically capture both on a microSD card (card not included).
Multiple Ways to Get Started. Stuck in your gloves on the slopes? If paired with the selfie stick you can rotate the camera back and forth quickly to start/stop recording. You also have the option of gesture control and voice activation. Of course, you can always control the camera with the app as well!

Is Insta360+ available for the X5?

Yes! But, like most great things, utilizing Insta360+ with this rental comes with a small stipulation.

With Insta360+ being a cloud service, users are required to sign into and bind their accounts to the device. When we receive the X5 back without the proper measures taken to unbind the users account, your information and email will still be bound to the device. Unbinding can only be done by the account owner.

So, while we encourage you to use Insta360+ during your rental, we do ask that you take a moment before shipping it back to unbind your account from the device. This can be done remotely through the app!

No, you can use it straight out of the box but some features may be limited without the app.
