The Epiphan Pearl Mini Live Video Production System is a compact, touchscreen device designed to allow the user to switch, record, and stream up to two HD video inputs. Key features include:

Customizable Control. The Epiphan Pearl Mini Live Video Production System is a completely customizable device, allowing you to design your own layouts, add overlay images, text, timestamping, and more. This unit is incredibly useful in events where an inexperienced volunteer is required to operate video equipment, and begins switching or recording with one touch on the integrated touchscreen interface.

Connections and Ports. On the rear panel, you’ll find all of the connections and ports needed for your production. For audio connections, this device offers mic-level XLR and 3.5mm inputs, and to fine tune your sound, built-in attenuation and gain adjustment are available! To send video to a larger display, an HDMI output is included, and can be configured to mirror any input or show the switched program output. A single SDI and two HDMI inputs are also available for cameras, playback devices, and computers.

Recording and Switching. Like previously stated, this device is incredibly good for beginner use. Switching is made easy by utilizing the touchscreen to swap between video connections as you please. A built-in encoder provides real-time H.264 encoding and records 1080p full HD, and an SD card slot on the front panel is available for quick handoffs of what you’ve already recorded.
