Canon's latest 85mm lens finally features Image Stabilization! We'd gladly trade the 1/3 stop aperture reduction for the addition of IS, but with an even cheaper price tag than the 85 1.2L, we're impressed! The new lens is about the same weight as the 85 1.2L but is a bit longer. Four stops of camera shake can be corrected with Canon's latest in-lens IS. Nine aperture blades should give your bokeh all the creaminess you desire. A bunch of new fancy coatings are supposed to help reduce flare and ghosting, even when shooting into the sun for that dreamy back-flare. This version is also weather sealed at the rear, a change over the 1.2L that we are very happy with.
