Ninja Grit, 8K Agility. The Atomos Ninja V+ 5.2" 8K HDMI Recorder builds upon the popular Ninja V, upgrading the chipset and expanding the processing power for continuous RAW recording up to 8Kp30 and 4Kp120 from select cameras, while delivering the same accurate monitoring in a form factor that’s largely unchanged from its predecessor.

Flexible Codecs for Workflow Optimization. The Ninja V+ supports ProRes RAW, ProRes, DNx, and 10-bit H.265, each with scalable compression options, allowing you to capture a wide range of resolutions and frame rates as efficiently as the job requires. Please note, RAW recording is camera, cable, and SSD dependent and is not compatible with all configurations. 5-Inch, 1000 cd/m², IPS LCD Screen. This recorder has a bright, daylight-viewable LCD panel with touchscreen controls. The 1920×1080, 427 PPI resolution provides super crisp images on the 5" display, and the 10-bit bit depth renders rich, accurate colors.

AtomHDR Display. The traditional Rec.709 video standard is based on an 8-bit color depth and about 6.5 stops of dynamic range. The Ninja V+’s monitor features a wide 10.5-stop dynamic range, making it capable of natively displaying log footage without it looking washed out. Built-in presets for Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, and JVC cameras convert the typically flat-looking log-based images into vibrant HDR pictures. Please note that the preset looks will only actually affect viewing; the recorded footage remains totally unaltered.

HDMI-Only Interface. The Ninja V+ offers full-size HDMI input and output ports. If you like the Ninja V form factor but need SDI I/Os, we recommend renting the Atomos AtomX SDI Module featuring two configurable 12G-SDI ports, in addition to the rental of this recorder.

Media & Power. This recorder takes the same Master Caddy II SSD enclosure that has been used for the last few generations of Atomos products, and this rental includes one to install your own SSDs into. This rental includes an AC adapter for power, and the monitor can be powered by Sony L-series batteries (not included) as well. SSD media and power kits are separately rentable.
