3.4K ALEV III Sensor. The AMIRA utilizes the ALEV III sensor, which provides low noise, natural skin tones, true colors, and fourteen stops of dynamic range. The AMIRA uses this 3.2K sensor to record high-quality 4K (UHD) in a variety of ProRes codecs to readily available CFast 2.0 media.

Single-Operator Design. Originally envisioned for documentarians, the AMIRA is optimized for small crews and single users. The camera features an intuitive button and menu layouts and offers built-in ND filtration at two-, four-, and seven-stop increments.

ARRI LUTs & Wi-Fi Control. The included Look Library is a number of pre-programmed Rec 709 and Log C color outputs and the camera has the ability for user-uploaded looks to be added via USB. With the camera’s ad-hoc Wi-Fi network, you can remotely control the full AMIRA menu system from a mobile device or computer.

AMIRA Kits. We also rent this camera in an ARRI AMIRA Premium kit that includes a battery and shoulder support system.

Q & A

• No. We’re open to installing it, but it’s a paid license and we haven’t had any customer interest in that feature so far. Rather than build the cost of the license into the rental price for everyone, we’ve decided to wait and see whether RAW on the Amira is a feature our customers require. If you’d like the RAW license installed, just contact us and we’ll be happy to talk it over with you.

• Currently, this camera is only compatible with the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO 525MB/s CFast 2.0, SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO 525MB/s CFast 2.0, and the ARRI Edition Sandisk 512GB Extreme Pro 525MB/s CFast.

• Yes. At the very least, you’ll need compatible CFast 2.0 Media, an EF mount or PL mount, and a corresponding EF or PL lens.
