What’s Changed? The best word to describe the H6studio is refined. Building off the bones of the original Zoom H6 Handy Recorder, this updated version takes your recording capabilities to the next level with two extra recording tracks, an increased 32-bit recording format, F-series preamps, RF interference shielding, built-in “look-ahead” limiters, a headphone output, 3.5mm stereo line output, an onboard speaker, a USB-C port, and a microSD card slot.

Full-Color LCD. The H6studio has the most useful display of any recorder we’ve used. The two-inch 320 × 240 screen makes leveling/menu navigation as fast and easy as it should be.

Additional Features. This recorder operates on four AA batteries (not included), and offers MP3 and WAV recording at a wide variety of bit rates.

Q & A

Is there anything to note about microSD compatibility?

Yes. Due to limited compatibility with Zoom products, we recommend referencing the list of microSD cards found on the right side of your desktop screen for compatible options, or running the “Quick Test” feature on the device. When the recorder recognizes a new card being inserted, it will prompt you to run the Quick Test and check the performance of a microSD card in about 30 seconds, regardless of its capacity.

Does this rental include AA batteries?

No, this rental will not include AA batteries. It requires four total, so if you need them, you’ll be happy with the Rechargeable AA Battery 8-Pack Travel Kit.
However, this unit can also be powered by a separately available Thunderbolt 4 cable, like this one!

Does this recorder feature Bluetooth capabilities?

Yes, but only with the separately available Zoom BTA-1 Bluetooth Adapter!
