The Zoom H4n Pro is a portable audio recorder and update to the Zoom H4n. This version is black, but we also carry the Zoom H4n Pro Handy Recorder in silver, which is identical save for its color. Key features include:

What’s Changed. Compared to the standard Zoom H4n, the Zoom H4n Pro Handy Recorder boasts improved preamps with lower noise floor, locking XLRs, a more robust rubberized body, and an improved 1.9-inch screen.

Built-In Microphones. The X/Y stereo microphones pick up clear, natural sound without phase shifting. These mics can be rotated to select a 90-degree or 120-degree recording pattern.

Recording Quality. The H4N Pro records MP3 and WAV files from up to four channels of audio at greater-than-CD quality (24-bit/96kHz). The files record to SD or SDHC cards.

XLR/TRS Combo Input Jacks. The Zoom H4N Pro has great connectivity, with two phantom-capable (+48V) XLR/TRS combo input jacks. This recorder also includes a 3.5mm (headphone/line out) output and an internal speaker.

Mounting Options. The back of the H4n Pro features a 1/4-20" threaded input. We include an accessory hot shoe mount for mounting the recorder on a camera hot shoe. Please note that we don’t include a mic clip adapter with the H4n Pro.

Additional Features. This zoom operates on two AA batteries, which aren’t included with this rental.

The H4n Pro does not play nice with larger or SDXC cards. Use only smaller SDHC Cards like the included SDHC SanDisk 32GB Extreme 90MB/s UHS.
