A Very Compact Car Mount. If you’ve ever tried to use small car mounts, you’ll know how unwieldy they can be and how they don’t really compete with traditional Russian arms. The Tilta Hydra Alien Car Mounting System (Gold Mount) aims to remedy that with a robust system capable of being mounted nearly anywhere on most vehicles with shock-absorption built right in.
Mounting. The kit uses three suction cups to hold payloads of up to about 13 pounds (including the gimbal) securely to flat surfaces on your vehicle. Options are available for mounting to hoods, windows, doors, and trunks alike. Four dovetails make dialing in the perfect set up quick and easy.
Shock Absorbing Arm & Head. Camera shake on previous car mounting systems can be a real problem, but the Hydra Alien includes shock absorption by way of hydraulics in a damping pole as well as shock absorbing head.
Power Your Rig. A dual Gold Mount battery plate allows you to natively power a DJI RS 2 Gimbal Stabilizer or your camera of choice. Gold Mount batteries and camera specific power cables are not included.
