Full-Frame E-mount. As a part of the FE line of lenses, the FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 is designed to cover the Sony a7-series cameras full-frame sensors. Since it’s an E-mount lens, it’s also fully compatible with APS-C NEX cameras.

Wide-Angle Zoom. When used on a full-frame camera, this lens covers a wide to telephoto focal range, making it great for general-purpose and vacation photography. With an APS-C sensor camera, you’ll have a focal length equivalent to 35-360mm. The variable f/3.5-6.3 aperture isn’t useful for low-light shooting, so you’ll probably want to stick with outdoor-lighting conditions for best results.

Internal Focusing. The lens remains the same size while it’s focusing. The non-rotating front element enables this lens to use polarizing filters. The linear focusing motor enables fast, silent autofocus.

Optical Image Stabilization. The in-lens stabilizer allows you to shoot at lower shutter speeds without having to worry about camera shake.

Advanced Optics. The FE 24-240mm features five aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element for minimizing chromatic aberrations. Its seven-blade aperture diaphragm gives images relatively smooth out-of-focus areas.
