Full-Frame E-Mount. As a part of the FE line of lenses, the FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G is designed to cover the full-frame sensors on Sony E-mount cameras. Since it’s an E-mount lens, it’s also fully compatible with APS-C NEXcameras.

Versatile Telephoto Zoom. When used on a full-frame camera, the FE 200-600mm is an ideal choice for nature, wildlife, and sports photography. Using an APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 300-900mm. The f/5.6-6.3 maximum aperture range helps keep this lens reasonable compact and lightweight while giving you great performance in decent light.

Accurate, High-Speed Autofocus System. The Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor provides fast, silent autofocus performance with full-time manual override. You also get physical focus hold and limiter options for fine tuning. The internal zoom design limits the lens’s length while focusing for easy handling.

Optical Image Stabilization. The in-lens stabilizer allows you to shoot at lower shutter speeds without having to worry about camera shake. You can choose between three image-stabilization options: Mode 1, which is suited to most types of shooting; Mode 2, which is specifically intended for use with panning movements; and Mode 3, which provides a more stable viewfinder image for easier framing of action shots.

Advanced Optics. The 200-600mm’s 17-group/24-element design includes five extra-low dispersion elements and one aspherical element for minimizing chromatic aberrations and distortion, and for producing high-clarity images. The rounded eleven-blade diaphragm produces smooth out-of-focus highlights, and the Nano AR and fluorine coatings keep flare and ghosting at bay.

High-Quality Build. Like the Sony a7-series cameras, the FE 200-600mm offers dust- and moisture-resistant sealing for use in less-than-ideal conditions. The all-metal barrel and smooth, responsive zoom and manual-focus rings are exactly what you’d expect from a high-grade telephoto lens, and the included removable, rotating tripod ring makes long periods of shooting much more bearable.

Teleconverter Compatible. This lens is compatible with Sony’s 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters, which will give you up to an 840mm focal length at f/8-9 or a 1200mm focal length at f/11-13, respectively. Teleconverter use doesn’t compromise the lens’s image quality or its autofocus performance.
