The Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art for L-Mount is an ultra-bright, ultra-sharp normal-length prime with a compact build that makes it great for everyday use. Key features include:

  • Ultra-fast, ultra-compact normal-length prime

  • Versatile focal length suits most types of shooting

  • Advanced optical design for optimal image quality

  • Fast, smooth, and quiet autofocus; AF Assist compatible

Ultra-Fast Normal-Length Prime. The Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art for L-Mount’s versatile focal length, ultra-fast f/1.2 aperture, and exceptional sharpness make it ideal for just about any type of photography, including scenarios that require shooting in harsh or low light. The rounded thirteen-blade diaphragm helps produce smooth, artistic bokeh, even when stopped down. Using an APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 75mm.

Optics Built for Sharpness. This lens’s twelve-group/seventeen-element optical design includes four aspherical elements to minimize focus breathing, chromatic aberrations, distortion, and vignetting while providing maximum sharpness, color accuracy, and clarity. Each element has a Super Multilayer Coating that helps prevent flare and produce contrasty, color-neutral images, even when you’re shooting in backlit conditions.

Fast, Precise, and Nearly Silent Autofocus. The 50mm’s autofocus system uses a High-Response Linear Actuator motor to provide fast, smooth, and nearly silent performance with minimal focus breathing, making it great for stills and video alike. An AF/MF switch and aperture-ring click switch allow for immediate manual-focus override when you need to make minute adjustments. A built-in Autofocus-Lock button can be assigned additional functions, giving you more options and capabilities, while a Manual Focus Lock feature disables the focus ring entirely. This lens boasts an internal-focusing design so that it maintains its compact size throughout the focus range, and it’s compatible with select Sony E-mount cameras’ AF Assist function.

Durable, Weather-Resistant Build. The Sigma 50mm’s Thermally Stable Composite build is dust- and splash-resistant, so that you can use it in adverse conditions. It also boasts a brass bayonet mount for maximum durability and precision. An included petal-type hood helps to prevent flare and protect the lens’s front element.
