The Stars Have Aligned. The Paul C. Buff Celestial Flash Unit is a versatile lighting unit designed with consistency in mind. This unit is packed full of features and is a perfect fit for both indoor and outdoor studio photography. A single battery is used to power this light and can even be charged while in use.

Lights, Cameras, Action. The Celestial offers a bright LED modeling light, a built-in wireless receiver, and support for high-speed sync (HSS) and TTL shooting. To control HSS and TTL shooting, we’d like to point you in the direction of the Canon and Nikon HUB remotes. These are the only compatible HUB remotes that we currently carry. When used with HSS, the strobe can sync at up to 1/8,000 second.

To Wrap Things Up. Like we said before, the Celestial is packed full of features. This light offers 12 stops of power variability from 3.1 Ws to a maximum of 500 Ws that can be adjusted using the digital control on the rear LCD display, color consistency of plus or minus 50 Kelvin despite power levels, and a 1.5 second recycle time. In addition to the strobe, there is a 160-watt daylight-balanced LED modeling lamp.
