The large and heavy-duty Matthews Junior Boom (66-120-inch) is the perfect accessory for your larger lighting and grip needs.

This boom measures 68-inches when collapsed, and is fully extendable to 10-feet. It has a Junior (1-1/8") mount and a 5/8" stud for mounting lighting or accessories, and features a junior pin for mounting to a stand. The total weight of this Junior boom is 41lb, supporting up to 25 pounds to match the 25 pound counter weight.

CAUTION: Any boom that is not properly balanced is extremely dangerous on a set. When calculating the proper stand on which to attach the boom, be sure to include the amount of counter weight in addition to the lighting fixture and accessories being used.

I've rented this before, what's different now?

We updated our inventory for this item along with the manufacturer to replace the 5/8" baby pin receiver with a standard junior pin. This comes as a solution to the issues around the stand’s weight capacities and baby stand mounting incompatibility.

Does this rental come with any sandbags?

This boom looks pretty big and heavy. Are there any items that will help me lighten the load?

Well, there isn’t any magic we can use to make these lighter, but we rent a few carts and hand trucks to help out on your production set. Make sure and check out the Inovativ Voyager 36 EVO Equipment Cart and the MultiCart RocknRoller R12RT All-Terrain Equipment Cart. These are all items we’ve found invaluable on our own personal productions, and we highly recommend them to customers as well.
