Equatorial Camera Tracking System. The iOptron SkyGuider Pro EQ Camera Mount is an imaging support system that lets you track and photograph the sun, the moon, wide-field starscapes, and other celestial bodies in astro photography applications. This system functions as an equatorial mount, and its Right Ascension tracking motor compensates for celestial objects’ movement across the sky.

Configuration Options. This mount gives you multiple configuration options, including single-camera mounting, double-camera mounting, and mounting smaller telescope optical tubes. A declination mounting bracket lets you use the included counterweight kit to balance heavier rigs, to limit vibration and strain on the gears and motor, for double-mounting cameras, or for mounting optical tube assemblies.

Tracking Head. The tracking head offers solar, lunar, celestial, and half-celestial tracking rates, a 144x forward/reverse fast slew speed to help you frame your shots, and a built-in polar axis alignment scope that helps you accurately set up long-exposure shots. You can mount the tracking head on a tripod by itself with a conventional 1/4"-20 photo ballhead, or you can mount the head and base together on most astronomical, photo, video, or field tripods with the 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 mount on the bottom of the base.

Alt-Az Base. The included base includes a vixen-style dovetail saddle that lets you attach the tracking head without tools. In addition to its aforementioned 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-30 sockets, it boasts a -30° to 65° latitude adjustment range, a ±5° azimuth adjustment range, and a built-in bubble level.
