SxS PRO X Protocol. The Sony SBAC-T40 Thunderbolt 3 SxS Card Reader/Writer’s SxS PRO X protocol gives you markedly faster transfer speeds than previous protocols. For example, SxS PRO X can transfer a 38-minute 4K/60p video clip stored as a 240GB XAVC-I file in roughly 3.5 minutes, which is roughly three times faster than the previous SxS PRO+ protocol.
Direct Thunderbolt 3 Connectivity. The SBAC-T40 connects directly to a computer using the included Thunderbolt 3 cable, which gives you bus power so you don’t need a separate AC adapter. This reader/writer is compatible with Macintosh and Windows computers equipped with Thunderbolt 3.
SxS Device Driver Required. Please note, in addition to meeting the system requirements, you will also need to download Sony’s SxS Device Driver, available here as a free download.
