What’s Changed? While the foundational bones of this model are that of the previous-generation Sony PXW-Z280, the PXW-Z300 brings massive updates to the table. Featuring advanced digital imaging technologies, this camcorder is equipped with a redesigned LCD articulating arm, an MI shoe in placement of a viewfinder, a V-Mount side plate for attachment of accessories like the PDT-FP1 or audio receivers, the latest BIONZ XR processor for higher quality imaging, digital signature embedding, and a HD/4K digital extender.

Optimal Content Creation. The PXW-Z300 sports three 1/2" Exmor RS CMOS sensors to deliver enhanced 4K image quality, rapid readout speeds, and optimal low-light performance. Capable of capturing everything from close-ups to wide angle, this camcorder features a 17x optical zoom that is equivalent to 35mm full-frame 30-515mm lens. The built-in variable ND filter function provides a wide 1/4 to 1/128 ND range and allows you to adjust exposure with the simple twist of a dial.

BIONZ XR Processing and AI Assistance. This camcorder incorporates the latest BIONZ XR image processor in the sensor to produce higher frame rates, faster autofocus, improved ATW control, and excellent noise reduction. AI-assisted autofocus offers precise human-subject recognition, and supports Subject Recognition AF and Real-Time Tracking. With the Auto-Framing function, you can easily recognize your subjects, track them, and keep them centered in frame. If the production gets to be too quick, you can always switch to Full Auto Mode for settings like ND, Iris, Gain, Shutter, and White Balance modes.

Connectivity and More. Featuring built-in 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and an ethernet port, the PXW-Z300 is capable of streaming directly from the camcorder to compatible live streaming services and video sharing sites. If you prefer recording over streaming, you can also easily upload files saved to your memory card straight to a cloud or FTP server. To connect with more external equipment, this camcorder offers HDMI Type-A, USB Type-C, LAN, REMOTE, and various other connectors. This model additionally features SDI and Timecode BNC connections!

Memory and Power. This camcorder accepts separately available (NON PCIe 4.0) CFexpress Type-A and SD UHS-II memory cards through its dual card slot. To fuel up, we include the Sony BC-U1A Charger and Sony BP-U35 Battery, but if you’d like to use a higher capacity battery, this camcorder also accepts Sony BP-U70, Sony BP-U90, and Sony BP-U100 batteries!
