Full-Frame E-Mount. As a part of the FE line of lenses, the Sony FE C 16-35mm T/3.1 G is designed to cover the full-frame sensors on Sony a7-series cameras or Sony full-frame camcorders, such as the Sony PXW-FX9. Since it’s an E-mount lens, it’s also fully compatible with APS-C camcorders like the PXW-FS7M2.

Versatile Wide-Angle Cine Zoom. This fast and versatile wide-angle cine zoom boasts a constant T/3.1 aperture that gives you consistent performance throughout its zoom range and produces high-quality images even in low light.

Detachable Servo Unit. The included servo unit puts control comfortably at your fingertips, giving you smooth, fast and gradual zooms for maximum dramatic effect. You can also operate the zoom manually.

Hybrid Autofocus System. The 16-35’s enhanced hybrid autofocus system provides fast, highly accurate, and nearly silent performance that’s ideal for cine applications. Linear-response manual focusing gives you lag-free response for intuitive operation, and an AF/MF switch helps to tailor focusing to your shooting needs.

Advanced Optics. The FE C 16-35mm T/3.1 G’s thirteen-group/sixteen-element optical design incorporates three aspherical elements, two extra-low dispersion elements, and two XA elements to produce sharp, clear images. The lens’s eleven-blade aperture diaphragm gives images smooth out-of-focus areas when you desire a shallow depth of field, while the Nano AR Coating reduces ghosting, color fringing, and aberrations.

Cine Build. This lens’s 0.8 MOD gear and 114mm diameter mean it’s designed to fit standard cine follow-focus and matte-box rigs.
