The SmallHD 7-inch 702 Bright HDMI/SDI On-Camera Field Monitor is a high-resolution monitor perfect for on-camera and gimbal use. Key features include:
1000-nit brightness rating and 179° viewing angle
HDMI and SDI inputs and outputs
High Resolution. This full HD, 1920 × 1080 LCD monitor provides an extremely sharp image with a 323 ppi pixel density. Despite being an LCD, the 702 is able to produce 85% NTSC Color Gamut (greater than the REC. 709 color standard), rivaling OLED technology’s color capabilities.
Brightness for Daylight. The 702 Brights’s display is rated at 1000 nits brightness with a super wide 179° viewing angle, making it useable from the darkest corners of your set to even broad daylight.
HDMI/SDI. The 702 supports both HDMI and HD-SDI inputs and outputs, and cross-converts between them. HD-SDI input and output max out at 1080/60i and 1080/30p in RGB/YCC 4:2:2 and 4:4:4. HDMI input and output max out at 1080/60p and support 8/10/12-bit color. Audio is transferred through both HD-SDI and HDMI, with a 1/8-inch stereo out to monitor audio via headphones (not included).
Feature-Rich Toolset. Expanded options include the output of LUT previews to downstream devices, image capture, custom scaling, peaking, false color, zebras, HD waveform, RGB parade, histogram, HDMI/SDI bi-directional cross conversion, and on-screen audio meters. An SD card slot allows lets you add custom LUTs, and save and share settings to other monitors. Please note that this rental doesn’t include an SD card.
Power Options. The SmallHD 702 accepts Canon LP-E6 batteries. This rental includes two LP-E6N batteries, but it does not include an AC adapter.
There is a bug in the latest firmware version (3.3.7) that does not allow battery percentage to be viewed. We will update our monitors to the next stable firmware release when it is available.
We include two Canon LP-E6N batteries with the monitor.
While the monitor will accept Sony L-series batteries, we do not recommend their use with the 700-series monitors due unreliability.
This monitor does not come standard with an AC adapter or big-battery solution. However, we do offer both options as a separate rental item. See the Recommended section on left-hand side of this page.
This monitor is not compatible with Paralinx and ikan products.
