20-lb. Weight Capacity. Optimized for a full-frame camera and common telephoto zooms, this travel tripod boasts an impressive 20lb weight capacity. The question of a tripod’s “weight capacity” or “weight rating” has no simple answer. The exact gear limit is highly dependent on the external conditions such as wind, and technique, but we can say it will safely hold commonly used professional camera gear (like a full-frame DSLR and a 70-200 lens). Built To Last. This travel tripod’s lightweight carbon fiber construction is designed to withstand heavy use in extreme environments and conditions. The carbon fiber tubes have to be custom made to the odd shape of the legs and this adds significantly to complexity and expense of producing this tripod, but also to minimize the negative space left between the tubes.

Ergonomic Ball Head. Epitomizing the expression less is more, this ball head that replaces cumbersome knobs and levers with space-saving locking and adjustment rings. The rings facilitate omnidirectional movements that are locked in place with a simple twist. The center column can be inverted allowing this tripod to also function as a copy stand. There’s mobile mount that hides away in the Travel Tripod’s center column for easy accessibility. Pull and twist the G-hook at the bottom to release or stow, and it’s held inside by a magnet so it won’t fall out.
