Compact Screen. The GoPro Display Mod for HERO8 / HERO9 / HERO10 is a 2.0-inch forward-facing, flip-up screen that’s great for vlogging and other arm’s-length applications on select HERO Black cameras. The screen includes an attached mount and power button that allows you to toggle between the camera screen and the Mod.
Compatibility. The Display Mod connects via an integrated micro HDMI cable and requires the GoPro Media Mod for HERO8 or Media Mod for HERO9 / HERO10 in order to communicate with a camera. Media Mods are not included with the Display, but are available as a separate rental items.
Built-In Battery. The Display Mod’s built-in, rechargeable battery is rated for approximately two hours of continuous use and takes an hour to an hour and a half to recharge, depending on your power source. This rental includes a USB-C to to Type-A cable for charging the Display Mod from any powered USB port. Please note, this rental does not include a charging block.

This Mod requires firmware version 1.1 or later on a Hero10, version 1.22 or later on a Hero9, or 2.01 or later on a Hero8.

If you are renting this Mod with one of our Hero cameras, the firmware will already be up to date. If you need to update your own camera, please visit GoPro’s product support page.

Check the connection to your camera’s Media Mod. The Display Mod will turn itself off if it does not detect a signal for more than five minutes as a way to preserve the battery when not in use.
