Canon RF Mount. The Canon RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM belongs to Canon’s line of RF-mount lenses. It’s compatible with Canon RF-mount cameras but does not work with Canon EF-mount cameras.

Versatile 4x Zoom Range. This lens’s flexible telephoto-to-super-telephoto zoom range makes it perfect for sports, wildlife, nature, and travel photography. The f/6.3-9 aperture range isn’t great for low-light shooting, so you’ll probably want to stick with outdoor lighting conditions for best results.

Optical Image Stabilization. The built-in optical image stabilization system provides up to 5.5 stops of correction, allowing you to shoot hand-held, in less-than-ideal lighting, and at lower shutter speeds without worry. This lens supports Coordinated IS when you use it with a camera that has an in-body image stabilizer.

Nano Ultrasonic Motor Autofocus System. This Nano Ultrasonic Motor (USM) autofocus system uses both a ring-type USM to ensure smooth, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance that’s great for video and stills alike. It supports EOS R cameras’ Dual-Pixel CMOS autofocus systems, even when you’re using an extender, and it supports focus-breathing correction on cameras that offer that function.

Advanced Optical Design. This lens’s eleven-group/seventeen-element optical design includes three Ultra-Low Dispersion elements to reduce aberrations, color fringing, and distortion for maximum clarity, color accuracy, sharpness, and rendering.

Intuitive Controls and Durable Build. You can configure the RF 200-800’s customizable focus/control ring to adjust a variety of exposure settings, such as aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation. Two lens-function buttons on the lens barrel give you instant, precise control over your preferred camera settings. This lens boasts a dust- and weather-resistant construction that protects against the elements so you can use it in adverse conditions, while its white paint serves as a countermeasure to heat.

Teleconverter Compatible. The RF 200-800 is compatible with the Extender RF 1.4x and Extender RF 2x teleconverters, both of which are available as separate rental items.
