What’s Changed? The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF (EF) is the same in every way as the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K but with one key addition: an Optical Low Pass Filter. This URSA Mini Pro’s OLPF is precisely matched to the 12K sensor. This is useful when shooting in environments that have video walls, as the ultra-sharp and modern sensors in most cameras will introduce interference patterns. Additionally, the updated IR filtering improves far red color response.

One other key difference: please note that, unlike the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K (EF) rental, this rental does not include a gold mount battery plate. 

Extreme Resolution from a Cinematic Sensor. Blackmagic’s revolutionary sensor offers an astounding native resolution of 12,288 × 6480 (80MP)! Shoot 12K footage at 60 fps or use in-sensor scaling for 8K up to 120 fps and 4K up to 240 fps. Take advantage of the 12-bit Blackmagic RAW workflow, which uses efficient constant quality and constant bitrate codecs. Constant bitrate encoding ensures the best possible imagery with consistent file sizes for easy editing, even on a laptop. It should be noted that Blackmagic RAW is your only option with this camera. You’ll find no ProRes options here.

All of these sensor features are complemented by Generation 5 color science, which produces accurate skin tones and better rendering of saturated colors (like neon signs or car lights). With a wide 14-stop dynamic range and built-in ND filters, you have full control over scene exposure, giving you the opportunity to really create your own look in nearly any condition.

Lightweight Form Factor, Versatile Build. Blackmagic designed this camera to be evenly-weighted and as lightweight as possible without sacrificing important features. All of the buttons and dials have been thoughtfully laid out to make them easy to find by feel when composing via EVF. This rental does not include an EVF. It can be added to your order here. The body is equipped with a backlit LCD for critical data and a 4" fold-out touchscreen for reviewing footage. Connections such as 12G-SDI, USB-C, XLR audio, and timecode are maintained. For recording, you have access to dual CFast and dual SD card slots as well as an optional SuperSpeed USB-C expansion port for recording on SSDs. All of this is delivered in a system that’s barely over 5 pounds!
