Do you offer this kit with a passive mount?

Yes! We have the Freefly Ember S5K 4TB Standard Micro V-Mount Kit – E Mount, which will not support metadata lens communication.

Are there any travel restrictions on this product that I should be concerned about?

The FAA have changed their guidelines dealing with rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. If the TSA finds batteries that are not in compliance with their rules when they inspect your baggage, they’ll discard them, and we’ll charge you for the missing equipment. Consider shipping the battery ahead to a FedEx store if you’ll be traveling to your shoot location.

Can I use standard V-Mount batteries with this plate?

The plate will support standard sized V-Mount batteries, but it is not designed for them. You may run into a number of issues if you opt out of micro V-Mount batteries.
