Does the camcorder feature any XLR ports?

Yes, this camcorder has two phantom powered XLR ports.

What's the battery life like on this camera?

The supplied BP-A30 is rated for 175 to 210 minutes of continuous shooting, depending on the camera settings, and takes about three hours to recharge using the supplied charger. If you need to upgrade battery performance, we recommend renting the higher-capacity BP-A60.

Is the XF605 compatible with all Canon shoe accessories?

No. The integrated multi-shoe is currently only compatible with Canon’s GP-E2 receiver. Additional accessories are expected in the future.
