The Westcott FJ80 Universal Touchscreen 80Ws Speedlight is a compact, lightweight, and performance-driven on-camera flash that features a removable 1000mAh rechargeable battery. Key features include:

  • Large 2.8" LCD color touchscreen display

  • 1000mAh rechargeable, removable battery

  • Multi-brand compatibility

  • Continuous capture up to 20 frames per second

Large 2.8" LCD Color Touchscreen. The FJ80 is the industry’s first round head speedlight and transceiver equipped with multi-brand compatibility and touchscreen controls. The round head provides a more natural light output mimicking the big light in the sky, leading to more appealing catchlights in your subject’s eyes and evenly filling up cylindrical modifiers from the center to the edge.

High Battery Capacity and Fast Recycling. This fixture features a removable 11.1V, 1000mAh lithium polymer battery that provides power for on-location freedom and charges to full capacity in just 2 hours. Designed with safety in mind, the FJ80 is equipped with onboard self-monitoring dual-stage heat protection system to ensure safe operation during extended use.

Multi-brand compatibility. The FJ80 speedlight is compatible with any camera that has a hot shoe mount in manual mode. Please refer to the compatibility chart here to see if which cameras provide TTL and HSS compatibility using the latest firmware update. Additional camera models are likely compatible and will be added to this list as they are tested and confirmed.

Please Note: If you would like to use TTL/HSS with Sony cameras, you will also need the Westcott Sony Adapter.

Q & A

  • Can I use this on my Sony camera?
    • Yes, but if you plan on controlling the strobe using TTL, you will need to rent the Westcott Sony Adapter.

  • I read this thing works with the Canon RT system. How does that work?
    • If you are invested in the Canon RT flash system, you can also trigger the FJ400 strobe using one of their Canon ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitters or Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT.

    • Do note there are functionality limitations when using the Canon RT system as the trigger. You can find more information on these limitations, as well as detailed setup instructions, here.
