The Ikelite DS161 Two-Strobe Kit includes two strobe flashes with built-in 500-Lumen video lights and diffusers. Key features include:

Versatile Underwater Strobe. The Ikelite DS161 Two-Strobe Kit’s light has a 160 watt-sec power rating and a guide number of 38-76’ at ISO 100, depending on whether or not you’re underwater. It gives you a 90° angle of coverage, which the included diffuser increases to 100°. It has a color temperature of 4800K, its depth rating is 300 feet, and it boasts approximately neutral buoyancy in salt water. You get about 225 full-power pops and roughly 5 hours or video-light life per charge.

TTL Compatible. When you combine the DS161 with a compatible TTL system, it automatically adjusts brightness for the best possible TTL flash exposure regardless of whether you’re shooting at macro, portrait, or wide-angle focal lengths. You also get manual exposure control.

Designed for Soft Light. The DS161’s round flash tube and reflector are designed to produce the most soft and even coverage possible, while the included diffuser further softens the flash’s light to limit backscatter and hard shadows.

Built-In Video Light. The built-in 500-Lumen video light’s diffused beam is also ideal for close-up recording and focusing. At 45 degrees coverage, it’s a bit wider than the strobe, so plan accordingly. You get ten adjustable brightness settings and an SOS mode for emergencies, while the video light automatically shuts off when the flash fires so it won’t affect your shots.

Mounting Solution Included. Included with the rental of this kit is Ikelite’s Compact Ball Arm for Quick Release Handle for each DS161 strobe. This single segment arm with two clamps accepts the 1-inch ball mount already attached to the DS161 strobe on one end, while the other end features a quick release handle mount pin that fits right into the handle that’s bundle with all of our underwater camera housings (separate rental item).
