The DJI Osmo Pro Gimbal with Zenmuse X5 Camera is an advanced, all-in-one handheld gimbal and camera system that builds on the DJI Osmo Handheld 3-Axis Gimbal with X3 4K Camera. Key features include:
Micro 4/3 sensor and lens mount
Three-axis gimbal
Multiple modes
Specific lens compatibility – see Q&As
Micro 4/3 Sensor and Lens Mount. The Zenmuse X5 comes equipped with a Micro 4/3 size sensor and an interchangeable lens mount. This opens up a larger world of lensing options from a wide array of MFT choices.
4K Video w/More Detail & DR. The X5 camera captures 4K video at up to 30fps, Full HD at up to 60 fps, and 16MP still images. It offers a higher level of fine detail resolving power due to greater pixel clarity than the X3 camera, while also increasing the camera’s dynamic range to 12.8 stops.
Three-Axis Gimbal. The camera system utilizes three motors that stabilize the camera as well as move it manually in relation to the handle. Using the handle’s joystick or the DJI GO app, the camera can be panned over a 320° range, tilt down 35°, and up 135°, with all directions moving up to 120° per second.
Multiple Modes. The gimbal can be used in follow mode, fixed, inverted, flashlight or selfie mode. Fixed mode keeps the camera locked in position, in follow mode it will drift along with your movements on the handle. Inverted mode allows for the camera to be underslung and used to grab low-angle shots. And then there’s selfie mode, which allows for you to turn the action on yourself.
