Image Stabilization and Fast Focusing. The Canon 24mm f/2.8 IS USM features a built-in image stabilizer that offers up to 4 stops of correction, making its f/2.8 aperture plenty fast for many shooting situations. Its ring-type USMfocusing motor allows for fast, near-silent autofocus performance.
Advanced Image Quality. This rear-focusing lens remains a mere 2.19 inches in length throughout use. The image quality produced is quite high, with an aspherical element used to provide high levels of corner sharpness and coated optics to minimize ghosting and flare. This is a wonderful low-cost lens option for both still and video shooters.
