The Arri AMIRA Premium is a versatile documentary-style camera that combines exceptional image quality with an ergonomic design optimized for single-operator use and extended shoulder-mounted operation. Key features include:
ALEXA-line image quality in a compact, durable form
4K (UHD) video capture in a variety of ProRes codecs
PL and EF mounts
Pre-programmed Rec 709 and Log C color outputs
Same Sensor as the Entire ALEXA Line. The AMIRA utilizes the ALEV III sensor, which provides low noise, natural skin tones, true colors, and fourteen stops of dynamic range.
Resolutions Up to 4K (UHD). The AMIRA has been upgraded to record high-quality 4K (UHD) in a variety of ProRes codecs to readily available CFast 2.0 media.
PL and EF Mounts. Ships with both Arri’s Titanium PL mount, fully compatible with LDS/LBUS-compliant lenses, and the EF mount.
Internal Neutral-Density Filters. Built-in ND filtration at two-, four-, and seven-stop increments.
Single-Operator Design. Originally envisioned for documentarians, the AMIRA is optimized for small crews and single users.
Lookup Tables. Pre-programmed Rec 709, and Log C color outputs as well as the ability for user-uploaded looks.
Wi-Fi Control. You can remotely control the ALEXA Amira with a tablet or other compatible device over an ad-hoc Wi-Fi network.
Currently, this camera is only compatible with the SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO 525MB/s CFast 2.0, SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO 525MB/s CFast 2.0, and the ARRI Edition Sandisk 512GB Extreme Pro 525MB/s CFast.
No. We’re open to installing it, but it’s a paid license and we haven’t had any customer interest in that feature so far. Rather than build the cost of the license into the rental price for everyone, we’ve decided to wait and see whether RAW on the Amira is a feature our customers require. If you’d like the RAW license installed, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to talk it over with you.
