PW Flex TT5 for Canon
This is perhaps one of the most exciting products to hit the photography market in a long time. It combines the virtual 100% reliability of the radio frequency Pocket Wizard to fire an off camera flash (or many of them) with the TTL auto functionality of your Canon flash, like the 580EX II.
While the original Pocket Wizard is wonderfully reliable, it renders your flash to be in complete manual mode. And while the TTL functionality of the 580EX II is fantastic, it's well....not exactly reliable in terms of firing an off camera flash, particularly when you're in a big room or outside.
This product takes care of both of those issues. The Mini model can be used on Camera (transmitter) to trigger other flashes. The Flex model can be used to either receive or transmit. Please visit the Pocket Wizard site for a more thorough demonstration. These units are backwards compatible as older receivers will receive the signal but it will NOT be TTL.
Please note that you do need two units at a minimum, one unit on the camera (either a Mini or Flex) and one Flex for each off camera flash.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE UNITS ARE MADE FOR CANON OR NIKON AND ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE
