Nikon 35mm f/1.4G AF-S
What's so special about a great 35mm lens? For starters, it's wide but not too wide. Not so wide that it creates a lot of distortion but wide usually wide enough to take in the scene around you. Shooting with a great wide angle prime will really make you think about your composure and force you to zoom with your feet. You also have to interact with your subjects more since you likely won't be shooting them from across the room. And this lens in particular? Well... at f/1.4 it's going to allow you to shoot in just about any low light situation and create some very shallow depth of field for a wide lens. Is it sharp? It's is one of Nikon's best lenses and it's amazingly sharp. There's a lot to love here. Give it a go!
