Nikon made this lens specifically for the crop camera bodies like the D7000/D7100 and D90. It's a fantastic travel lens as it covers such a wide range and has a fairly compact size. If you're looking for a professional level lens, look elsewhere but a great all-around walk-around lens on crop cameras, this lens is hard to beat.
